The Digital Imaging Group are interested in all aspects of digital photography. The Group covers taking photos, saving them to various devices, using software to manipulate and enhance them and looking critically at one another's photographs with a view to improving techniques.
https://digital-photography-school.com/ Is a free website with simple tips to help digital camera owners get the most out of their cameras. Advanced digital camera users might find some of what is written on this site a little basic, but it’s the new to semi experienced digital camera owner that this site is aimed at.
This link will take you to a course on Digital Photography on the Salisbury U3A Website. Much of the information assumes the use of Photoshop but is well worth reading even if you use a different image manipulation programme.
The Computer Assistance Team (CAT) is a group of volunteers whose goal is to provide technical support of a more advanced nature to those whose computers are, shall we say, being reticent to work as advertised. The CAT’s focus is on computers behaving badly rather than on application help but we will help with software problems wherever possible.
Naturally, there are no guarantees – PCs are complex and rapidly become individual once used – but the Group does offer to try and help and have been able to achieve a degree of success in a number of cases. Some symptoms may be difficult to describe and may benefit from a home visit, though anything that can be fixed by a simple phone call would also be welcomed.
